2017 Movie #7: Don’t Think Twice (2016)

It’s always nice to watch a movie that’s really in a sweet spot for you, and Don’t Think Twice is just such a film for me. I quite liked Mike Birbiglia’s 2012 debut film, Sleepwalk With Me; I’m a big fan of most of the cast of Don’t Think Twice, having seen most of them elsewhere, plus I’m a pretty big comedy nerd, so I quite enjoyed this film. I have to think that this film might not be in everyone else’s sweet spot the way it is for me – particularly if you’re not interested in the world of improv comedy. With that said, Don’t Think Twice is an unglamorous but loving take on an interesting world, and I think that most viewers will be able to find something endearing, something to enjoy, about this film.
